It’s March, which means it’s time for the National Bike Summit! VBF has a long track record of contributing to this national gathering of expert policy analysts, advocates, organizers, bike supportive companies, administrative partners, educators, and other leaders of the bike movement.

Last year, following our work at the General Assembly that saw most of the Bicyclist Safety Act passed (with the new requirement to Change Lanes to Pass), VBF directors, members, and partners met with Virginia’s congressional representatives and senators’ offices at a crucial time in preparation for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal (a.k.a. Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act), and we are happy to report congressionally directed spending dedicated to the Fall Line (Kaine/Warner) and Eastern Shore Trail (Luria), as well as Capital Bikeshare expansion (Kaine/Warner)!
