The League is our national partner for advocating for bike policies at the federal level, and they are responsible for many improvements for biking in federal spending, safety for automated vehicles, bike commuter tax benefits, and more. They also implement the Bicycle Friendly America program which, among other things, manages and promotes the Bicycle Friendly State program (VA is currently 7th in the country).

The National Bike Summit, held this year March 26-29, is the annual convergence of bike advocates from new to experienced to network, learn, ask and answer questions, and otherwise get immersed in the big picture of the bike movement. It’s always an insightful and encouraging experience!

Here’s how to get a free virtual registration:

We will need your:

  • name
  • email address
  • phone number
  • League membership number (this will be in your confirmation email from LAB)
  • constituent address (this is used for tracking your congressional districts)
  • yes or no – would you like to participate in Lobby Day, Wednesday March 29, to meet with your congressional office? Most of these are planned to be in-person on Capitol Hill, but some offices may request to meet virtually.

These registrations are first-come, first-served, and the promotional period will end by Sunday, March 26.
